Agreement
These terms apply when you use handygrocer.com or shop at a Handy Grocer smart store. By doing either, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website or stores.
Using our website
You may use the website to learn about our service and contact us. Don’t misuse it, interfere with how it works, or submit false information through our forms.
Shopping at a store
- You unlock a store by tapping a payment card or phone wallet, or with the Handy Grocer app. Your bank may show a temporary authorization when the door unlocks. It’s replaced by the final charge or released, usually within a few business days.
- You’re charged for the items detected as taken when the door closes. A receipt is sent to the contact details you provide.
- If you think a charge is wrong, email us within 30 days with your receipt and the store location. We review the transaction and refund any item charged in error.
- Don’t tamper with a store, take items without paying, or damage products. We may refuse service and report theft to the authorities.
Prices and availability
Prices are shown on shelf labels and store displays and may change. Selection varies by store and isn’t guaranteed.
Host locations
Placement, revenue share and service for host locations are covered by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement applies.
Our content
The Handy Grocer name, logo and website content belong to Handy Grocer or its licensors. Product names and images belong to their owners.
Third-party services
Payments are processed by our payment processor, and the app is distributed through app stores. Their terms also apply when you use them.
Disclaimers
The website and stores are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Handy Grocer isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the purchase involved.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state or province where the store you used is located. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state or province. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above.
